...........to UiTM. My baby is embarking into a whole new world of knowledge..Sigh.. My constant companion at home, my 'silent' buddy (he interacts with the computer more than his mom!), my 'trash' personnel' ( yup,his duty to throw the rubbish everyday), the assistant chef (should try his Poulet Watever...) and everything else that he is.
I am going through the empty nest syndrome! Boo hoo hoo! One by one they fly off in their quest to broaden their horizon, on our constant reminder to go out there - out of this house that is, into the world!! I miss them, their presence, our bickering, their laughter, the arguments, the "i 'hate' you mak"....but mom i love you to bits! Yeah right!, but most of all the occasional for-no-reason hugs i get.........
Hey! Wait a min! They are just minutes away....Zaim in Klang, Diyana in Cyberjaya and now Azfar in Shah Alam... What you talking about huh! Now don't you cry. They'll come back every weekend....uhhhh no...not! But they are close by.... So in the meantime I will have Junebug as my companion. Talking to her is sooo therapeutic! Honest! But if you look at it in another view I do sound and look like a mad woman pouring to this feline friend, my current situation in an empty house!.... Telling her to finish the food, don't waste Junebug!?....complaining about the kids leaving a mess when they come home?! OMG! I am becoming a crazy woman!

Some people get to go to Sabah - Semporna Island, Tawau and all "dan kawasan kawasan yang sewaktu dengan nya"..... Me I wanted the seaside too so i I just hit the highway and....before you can fall asleep in the car, voila! Ladies and gentlemen you have reached Avillion, Port Dickson! Gosh it was a true blue sweet escape! Yahoo!
2007 has been a fun year with a few bums here and there, Friendships rekindle, some the flames was put off for good..'sigh'!..others seem to tightened even stronger... bless them...
You made progress health wise (hopefully it will carry on that way). Mentally and emotionally you are not quite sure. Like I said there were a bit of topsy turvy in between. Sometimes you find yourself out of character and that somehow gets in the way of your harmony, emotional and mental path. And at times you sell yourself short.....you know what I mean? This is the year which there has been occasions when satan even appeared on my shoulders and nudging me to go ahead "make my day" -- and he did - damn!
On the other hand this year has been good and quite an eventful for me at least. Well, you begin to venture further then your comfort zone -read:- home! Traveling a distance further than KL to your hometown in Johor Bahru was an achievement and a triumphant! You reconnect the bond with family members which was temporarily 'on hold' due to your incapacity to move further then One Utama or the Curve!!! And once again that 'missing link' in the form of your sister, the life of the parties and gatherings, was back from the land of kangaroos and didgeridoos...much to the delight of Mom - seeing all her three children together once again......giggling and laughing 24/7!!!!!
Family get together was the highlight of 2007...marriage vows sworn, birthdays and anniversaries celebrated...and a 'serious' game of bowling with trophies and all. It was hectic at the same time loads of fun, hilarious and wacky. Well...it might not be as significant as you might think but it certainly made my dull as dish water life a high. It made me open to new experiences and adventure... and now... I shall welcome - 2008.
p/s Oh btw did i mention we had a misadventure on the way back frm JB in the middle of the night? Our tyre burst on the highway?.....thats another story...scary!

The themes - we have done beach in "Nostalgia Jln Khalidi' in 2000. Well not exactly, the apartment we stayed was way 'apart' from the beach, we could hardly see it! We have climbed on top of KL Towers with 'Celebrating Milestones'.....did a 70s theme at Shang, Putrajaya. What else......oh ya....'Together No Matter' at Cyber View Lodge, and we even did a back to nature in Broga! This year its "Balik Kampung"....yeh, yeh nak balik kampung!
Last to arrive, trust me to need my beauty rest before the event...the games have already started. The hi-tea I enjoyed tremendously....especially ubi kayu with sambal tumis and ikan masin...talk about balik kampung! Then came the photo session - THE family photo! Thats where the 'kekecohan' begins...the the arrangement of who sits where....the noise, the din, the jokes, the 'usik mengusik' - in short it was havoc!! But who cares! We were there to let our hair down...some grey, some brown...we were there to amuse ourselves, to ridicule ourselves...and others! Thats the best part of being in this family as my Aunty Anim says, graced with good health...well almost.... love and fortune bestowed by the Lord Almighty. Lovivg, caring and togetherness as the hallmark of the family.
The aim of this gathering is for us to get together, say syukur to Allah, have fun, bask in the nostalgia and celebrate birthdays - usually those who turned 70...
Got it! The Tribe!.........Now everybody say "hidup Johor"!!...for the non Johorians...terpaksa laaa!
